The Tirallongues castella group from Manresa performed on Saturday the 20th at the Esglesia square in Santa Coloma de Queralt with the Moixiganguers castella group from Igualada on the occasion of the Santa Coloma Festival.
They started making 4 pillars in front of the Town Hall, one from Manres and two from Igualadin. And following the music of the grallers of both gangs they made a parade to go from square to square. Once in Plaça de l'Esglesia, where they performed at 6 p.m., the two gangs entered with a pillar of four walking. The group from Manresa followed with a 4 of 6 in the first round, a 3 of 6 with loaded pin, a 3 of 6 in the third plus a pillar of 4 to close their performance.
On the part of the Moixiganguers gang, they made a 3 out of 8 in the first round, a 4 out of 8, a 5 out of 7 and a gap in the pillars to close their performance.
It is the second time that the people of Manres have been invited to Santa Coloma de Queralt, achieving a Day of brotherhood: grateful and accompanied, since the square was full to overflowing and they would like to repeat.
And this week, nothing like performing at home at the city's Festa Major. Next Sunday, the 28th, at 12 noon in the Plana de l'Om will be the Tirallongues Castellera Day, which will perform with the Castellers de Figueres and the Castellers de Terrassa. The whole week will be full of activities, workshops, rehearsals, parade and Festa Major.
