Saturday 27 July, in Vilafranca del Penedès, we completed the first 4/8 of the season.
It was during the 29th anniversary of Cal Figarot, in front of the local Castellers de Vilafranca, where in addition to the host team, the Colla Jove dels Castellers de Sitges also participated.
The 4/8 of Tirallongues has reached the second round. It has been a 4 that has shown good size and quick execution, which has made the gang explode with joy that has been working intensely and constantly since the beginning of the season.
In the first round, Tirallongues unloaded a fairly steady 5/7 and in the third round a 4/7a that had to be worked on more than expected, due to a too open position on the second floor. Finally, the pillar of 5 has put the icing on the best day of Tirallongues, during the current season.
As for Castellers de Vilafranca, they have offered a sensational performance, with level castles, which they have also done thinking of raising them a floor in the coming weeks. The castles made were 4/8a, 3/9f, 4/9f and p7f. All have been firm and well-executed castles that show the good moment of form of the gang, about to enter a month of August in which the big gangs will try to put another gear.
The Colla Jove dels Castellers de Sitges had the goal of downloading the first 2/7 of the season. After doing the 4/7a in the first round, they tried the rook in the second round. The castle could not be loaded and has remained pending. In the third round, they completed the performance with 4/7.
Before the final round of pillars, the gangs were able to test some structure, for future performances. Castellers de Vilafranca have assembled the foot of the 3/10 with lining and handcuffs, which has reached the sixth floor.
For its part, Tirallongues we have done a test of 3/8 up to twos, which has shown some promising sizes and solidity.
