On Saturday 12 October, we celebrated in Manresa the Castellera Day of Fira Mediterrània.
The stage has been one of Tirallongues' favourites, Plaça Neus Català, where we always enjoy the presence of a large audience.
We were accompanied by the Moixiganguers gangs from Igualada and Castellers from Cerdanyola.
The castles that could be seen there were:
- Castellers de Cerdanyola: p4, 2/6, 3/7, 3/6a, p5, p4
- Moixiganguers d'Igualada: 3p4, 3/6, id4/8, 4/8, 7/7, p5, 2p4
- Manresa's clothesline: 2p4, 5/7, 4/7a, 4/7, p5, 2p4
Tirallongues we considered repeating the same performance as the Saturday before the Tarragona castles contest. However, forced changes to the trunk of the 4/8, have made the Technique decide to give this castle a little more rehearsal time before bringing it back to the square. So instead of 4/8, it has been chosen to make the same structure, but one floor less.
For their part, Moixiganguers d'Igualada have offered a good performance with 8-story castles, 3/8 and 4/8 and 7/7, showing their good form, despite having dismantled a first attempt of 4/8 that did not rise firmly enough.
The Castellers de Cerdanyola have offered a good performance, with 3/7 as the best castle and which they have completed for the first time this season, unleashing euphoria in the bosom of the gang.
As every year, the Mediterranean Fair has once again been one of the most important days in the Tirallongues calendar. We would like to thank the organization of the Fira Mediterrània for its collaboration and professionalism in managing this event and for giving us the opportunity to take part in the Fair.
